DuPont Pioneer, a leader in plant biotechnology delivering advanced plant genetics to farmers, is seeking a Senior BI Developer to help develop a Next Generation Data Warehouse for scientific data. We are developing solutions to integrate and present data to support the characterization and development of commercial traits for various crops in all Pioneer markets. We are looking for creative individuals with critical thinking skills to develop robust and innovative solutions to complex problems in an evolving research environment.
The successful candidate will help with the Development and Support of Reports, Dashboards, Documents etc. and is focused on the use of industry leading Business Intelligence Tool sets (Ex: Microstrategy) to report data from a variety of data sources and Pioneers research data warehouse. The candidate will work with the clients and the project team to define Requirements, Design and Develop Reporting processes as well as proper representations of the integrated data and delivery methods for
End-users.
Education:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field and 2 years of experience developing data warehouse solutions Required; Or equivalent levels of relevant education and experience.
Experience/Competencies:
The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills and have the demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multifunctional team.
This position requires proven experience in data warehousing practices and concepts as well as proven experience in understanding dimensional and relational database modeling.
Highly desirable experience includes the following:
Strong knowledge and Experience in design and development of Business Intelligence solutions, both reporting and dashboards.
Experience with data analysis, modeling and design specific to a
data warehouse / Business Intelligence environment.
Experience in developing reporting and metadata standards, such as names and descriptions
Experience facilitating stakeholders in defining/designing actionable metrics/KPIs to manage their business, and defining business dimensional models to support their dashboard/reporting needs
Good understanding of relational databases, data warehouse design principle and BI reporting solutions.
Experience with industry standard BI tools - Microstrategy
Ability to communicate report/dashboard design solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Background or interest in biology, genetics or agriculture and the ability to understand complex scientific problems is a plus.
